Sick Legal was founded in 2017 with a simple idea: business owners deserve legal counsel that understands their operations, speaks their language, and is built for the speed at which they move. We've been doing that across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Michigan ever since.

Sick Legal was founded by Andy Sick — an attorney with 20 years of experience advising businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations across industries ranging from cannabis and hospitality to technology and professional services.
We built this firm on a belief that the traditional law firm model doesn't work for most businesses. Hourly billing punishes clients for asking questions. Revolving-door associate staffing means you're constantly re-explaining your business. And the big-firm approach treats small and mid-size companies like an afterthought.
We do it differently. Our clients get direct access to experienced counsel who already understands their business. We offer flat-fee general counsel plans alongside traditional engagements. And we stay embedded in our clients' operations — which means we catch problems early and move fast when opportunities arise.
